1. What This Website Is

This is an independent private reference site, not a government office. It neither stores official criminal records nor retrieves records, performs official checks, or submits filings for a visitor.

The site points to official Alameda County and California sources, including the Sheriff's Office, Superior Court, California Department of Justice, and California Megan's Law Website. Access to government records remains governed by the California Public Records Act, Government Code sections 7920.000 through 7931.000, and dissemination of DOJ state summary criminal history is restricted by Penal Code section 11105. Some pages also contain outside search tools.

2. Rules for Using This Site

Use is conditioned on avoiding each of the following acts:

• Break any federal, state, or local law while using this site
• Use information you find here to stalk, harass, or threaten anyone
• Base hiring, housing, lending, or insurance decisions on content from this site
• Try to break into our systems or gain access you are not supposed to have
• Run bots, scrapers, or automated tools against our pages
• Do anything that slows the site down or blocks other people from using it

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

You may not use information from this site or a linked tool to harass, stalk, intimidate, threaten, or discriminate. California Penal Code section 290.46 limits use of California Megan's Law Website data and provides penalties for misuse. Registry information supports lawful safety awareness, never vigilante conduct or prohibited discrimination.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

We are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA. We do not generate background checks, credit reports, or consumer reports of any kind. Neither we nor our advertising partners provide services built for screening job applicants, reviewing rental applications, calculating insurance rates, or judging creditworthiness. You agree not to use data from this site or any linked tool to:

• Decide whether to hire or fire someone
• Screen potential renters or housing applicants
• Judge creditworthiness or set insurance premiums
• Determine who qualifies for licenses, permits, or government programs
• Do anything else that falls under FCRA rules

Any purpose governed by the FCRA requires a properly authorized, compliant source. This site and its general reference material cannot be used for that task.

Text, graphics, logos, and code belong to Alameda County Criminal History or its content partners. Written permission is required to copy, distribute, modify, or build upon that material.
